Summer program for children 6th June – 12th August 2011

The program events are all free of charge. Children under 6 must be accompanied by an adult. Please make your bookings in advance, at the latest by 4.30 p.m. on the day before departure to the Levi Tourist Information Office, tel. +358 (0)16 639 3300; e-mail: levi.info@levi.fi

Monday

Horse Monday from 11.00 to 12.30

Meeting place: Hethe riding stable, (Hethen Ratsutalli) in Levi.
Get familiar with Finn horses and learn how to take care of them. Program does not include riding. Minimum age 4 years.

Fishing trip from 14.00 to 16.00

Meeting place: Levi Tourist Information at 2 p.m. where we will continue to the fishing spot. Every participant will be awarded a Fishing Diploma.

Tuesday

Canoeing school for children and youths from 10.00 to 12.00

Meeting place: Lake Immeljärvi near Immelmökit reception building. Learn basic canoeing skills at Lake Immeljärvi, for children and young people aged 6-17 years.

Wednesday

Adventure Park at 11.15, 12.15 and 13.15

Meeting place: Equipment rental Gondola
Adventure Park for children aged 4-12 years, Kids Trail and trails I and II (minimum heights required for safety reasons are: Kids Trail 100 cm, Trail I 120 cm and Trail II 130 cm). Departure times 11.30, 12.30 and 13.30, maximum 15 children/departure. You need to be on location 15 minutes before the departure.

Children’s Art Workshop from 16.00 to 18.00

Meeting place: Gondola restaurant

Every week a different workshop where children can learn hands on various crafts, visual arts, needle works and other hand skills. Suitable for children aged 6-12.

Thursday

Kids Traffic Park from 11.30 to 13.30

Meeting place: Gondola area, Traffic Park.
Learn traffic rules and signs in a funny way by driving small pedal cars at the Kids Traffic Park, for children aged 4-10 years.

Friday

Children's wilderness cooking course from 13.00 to 15.00

Meeting place: On the left side of the Eturinne (Front) slope by the gate "Lastenmaa". We walk together to Lastenmaa tepee and prepare some wilderness food. After the preparation we will enjoy our delicacies. Please bring water bottles for children!
