Firming wellness exercise by Nordic walking

You meet your Nordic walking quide at the Gondola rental (Gondolitie 4) where you get your suitable walking poles and a wristop computer. After some warm-up exercises and learning the basics of Nordic walking, you go up to the summit of Levi by the Gondola lift, from which you can see fantastic views of the fells of Western Lapland.

You descend from the summit using red (intermediate) track down to the tree-line, where the route winds around the fell through rugged fell countryside. Along the route are magnificent views of the neighbouring fells, the Ounasjoki River and the lake areas. 

The journey ends after descending to the lower Gondola station. At the rental, you can get an understanding of the data from your wristop computer with the help of the instructor. The total length of the route is 10 km. You should aim to keep your pulse level at 50-70% of the maximum level, depending on your level of fitness; that is to say, you should be able to talk without puffing and blowing.

The Levi Nordic Fitness Sports Park is a part of international Nordic Fitness Sport Park concept.

Bookings: Bookings no later than the day before by noon. Cancellations must be made no later than the day before by noon. If cancellations are made any later, the full fee will be charged
Equipment needed: Outdoor clothing to suit the weather conditions. Suunto wristop computers for measuring the pulse are provided by the organiser.
Price: 30 €/ person includes tuition, Nordic walking poles and the use of a wristop computer during the hike
