Snow Cat – NEW IN 2016

Come and experience a Lapland Express Snow cat trip in the amazing scenery of Levi fell. From the big windows of the Snow cat you can admire the snowy mountain, the starry sky and if the conditions are right see the Northern Lights dancing in the sky. In the warm cabin we make our way towards the top and near the top we stop to enjoy hot Lapland’s berry juice and a snack

There are five reindeer farms in Levi, which provide reindeer excursions (advance booking needed).
Sammuntupa and Levi’s Lapinkylä are located in the Taalo area, on the other side of the fell and are open daily as cross country skiing cafés. You can reach them by car, taxi, snowmobile or on cross country skis.

The only Park where you can book even just a guided visit without having to join a husky safari. It is open daily, but advanced reservation is always required. Guided visit’s prices: 10€/adult, 5€/child (2-11 years). Furthermore you can book a 2km or 4km husky safari including the visit of the park, the transfer from Levi and a hot drink and sausage grilling a the park on Wednesdays and Sundays as well as an Arctic ride safari (2km husky safari and 1km reindeer sled ride on Fridays.

  • The Husky Park is located in Köngäs, about 11km from the Levi centre and is reachable by car, taxi or organized transfer.

The pet farm is located on Purolantie, about 1km from the Levi main roundabout in the direction of Kittilä and reachable on foot or by ski bus no. 2. It is open daily 11.00-17.00; please book your visit in advance. Entrance fee to the pet farm: 8€/adult, children under 2 yrs. old free of charge; guided tour: 15€/adult, 10€/child. Cash payments only.

During a guided visit at the Kompiainen animal farm you can nurse, feed and brush the cute farmyard animals. You will meet among others Sulo the mini pig, Ilmari the male goat and Kirppu the she-goat. They enjoy been brushed while the goatling takes their daily nap. Kunkku the pony waits to be fed his hay and to be rubbed while Musta-Pekka the henhouse’s rooster hides the mistress’s egg who knows where! These and many other animals live in an idyllic setting in the yard of the old farmhouse. Juice is offered during a guided visit.

Children’s snowmobiling in restricted enclosed area does not required a driving license.
Example of prices on children’s snowmobiles:

Vmax: about 4, 5 km from Levi centre in the direction to Kittilä, 25€/15 minute drive in a children snowmobile park. Snowmobiles also for teens.
Enonvene: about 1km from Levi centre in Kätkätie. 10€/10 minute drive on the yard. Snowmobiles for children up to 7-8 yrs old.


No driving license is needed for ice karting but minimum height required is 140cm. A 1 hr program costs 55€/person. Reservations from the Levi Tourist Information.



This exhilarating activity does not hurt anyone and it respects nature. It will give you energy, adrenaline and a nice workout with lots of fun!

The game arena is built mostly from snow with tunnels and bunkers. It is nice to play during the day time but the experience is at its best in the darkness when all the lasers, light effects and smoke machines are making the place a magical Winter Laser World!

Anyone can book a game alone, with a friend, for the whole family or in bigger groups. No age limits.

These are open games. There can be other nice people playing with/against you, from all around the world. Prices include transfer, the use of a laser tagger, the helmet, guiding and 1,5-2 hours full of action.


The Levi Ice Gallery Luvattumaa consists of a snow hotel, with ice rooms and a just-wed ice suite, ice restaurant, ice chapel and ice gallery with beautiful ice sculptures. It is approximately 7km from Levi Centre, in Akanrova.

  • You can get there by car, taxi, snowmobile or by cross country skiing.
  • Entrance tickets: 12€/adult, 6€/child.
  • NB:  There are no public buses to the Luvattumaa.

At the Lainio Snow Village is possible to visit its ice hotel, with its variety of rooms, its ice chapel, ice and snow structures and sculptures. You can enjoy an ice drink at the ice bar and book an idyllic dinner at the ice restaurant.  The Snow Village is located about 45 km from Levi, towards Ylläs. You can get there by own car, taxi, snowmobile, private transfer or organized excursion.

  • NB: There are no public buses to the Snow Village.

Snow Dome –Snow Restaurant

It is located on the Front Slopes in Koutalaki, next to Levi Summit and Hotel Levi Panorama. You can reach it by car, taxi or by Express Gondola 9.30-21.00 (tickets from Zero Point at the bottom of the Front Slopes, the Express Gondola is free of charge between 19.00-21.00).

Visit the Snow Dome at Snow Hour, every day 16.00-17.00. Ticket: 5€/person, including a drink or reserve your dinner in the Dome available at 19.00 (reservation from Hotel Levi Panorama or Levi Tourist Information).


KID’S LAND on the Front Slopes, TENAVATOKKA

It is located on the left side of the Front Slopes, in the Levi centre and open every day 9.30-17.00.. It is the children’s very own outdoor playing area as well as an area for beginner skiers. There are two bottom lifts and a separate slope for tobogganing. In Kids land’s you can borrow toboggans, gliders and stigas. There are furthermore daily playing programs free of charge, which you can find from the Kid’s Land weekly program (

Leevilandia is a new playground for children at the South slopes open daily  9.30-17.00. Leevilandia has a covered carpet lift and a traditional bottom lift, which can be used also by adult beginner and is free for children smaller than 130 cm. The Levi ski school also organises lessons in Leevilandia for the smaller kids. There are daily programs free of charge which you can find from the webpage!

The variety of slopes in Levi are loved both by families and the hottest alpine stars! Have you skied on our gentle South slopes? The 6-seater chair lift with seat heating and a wind-protecting bubble is a real pleasure in whatever weather conditions. Cross-country skiing and trail cafés

Experience the beautiful Lappish fell scenery while skiing!

In the network of tracks totaling about 230 kilometers in length, there are suitable ones for Sunday skiers, active fitness enthusiasts and competitors honing their skills. 28km of tracks in the Rakkavaara area are also illuminated for late time skiing.

All tracks of Levi are suitable for both classic and free technique. Along the way you will find cozy trail cafés open through the winter and lean-on-shelters mainly open during the spring season. At Levi, people ski up to May Day!

As per downhill skiing, the blue skiing tracks are the easiest and the black ones require physical and technical skills.

The rental shops in Levi have an excellent selection of cross-country skiing equipment. The rental shops also provide ski maintenance service, waxing and preparing the skis according to the weather.

Bus transfer from Levi to Kittilä and to Aakenustunturi, Totovaara (half way towards Ylläs) on Tuesdays and Thursdays

Marked winter walking routes start from the Levi centre at Kid’s Land, from the North east slopes and from the South slopes. All the routes can be found from the Levi 365 brochure, winter walking routes are marked with a purple line. In windy/snowy conditions we recommend using snowshoes.
NB: Walking on the skiing tracks is forbidden! 

FAT BIKING – NEW in 2016

New this winter Fat bike trails on the Immeljärvi-lake and in the Rakka area. The total length of the routes is almost 8 kilometers. When the conditions allow it, they are prepared daily by snowmobile and are suitable for people with a normal fitness level.

  • NB: Biking on the nearby cross country skiing tracks is strictly forbidden!


We have two gondolas at Levi, the Express Gondola and Gondola 2000. The Express Gondola is on the front slopes by Zero Point. It takes along the front slope to Hotel Levi Panorama and Levi Summit (movie theater, Snow Dome, Samiland museum).

The Gondola 2000 is located about 2,5km from Levi centre towards Kittilä. It takes you to the top of Levi fell. There you can admire the beautiful views and a have a cup of coffee in café Palovartija (open from 19.02.16 daily 11.00-17.00).


The Levi Spa Water World is among the best in all of Finland.  A fascinating atmosphere is created by indoor and outdoor pools, different kinds of saunas, a water slide and variable lights, sounds and other phenomena of nature.  It is open every day 10.00-22.00. The price includes no time limit at the Spa.

The play area at the SPA is a small kids’ corner. It covers about 300 m2 and boasts a bouncy castle, ball pond, climbing apparatus, pedal cars, toys etc. Parents are always responsible for their children in the play area. 

If the atmosphere is too “childish”, older children may enjoy their time in the adjacent amusement arcade or bowling. 

Admission to Children’s Playhouse costs 6€ per child. Under 2 yr-olds free of charge.

Tenavatokka indoor crèche is a part of Kids Land, next to Front pistes and Muksutupa is located in Leevilandia (South Slopes).You may use the payable services of crèches when you want to go skiing, shopping or your family needs a break.

Tenavatokka & Muksutupa are open daily 9.30-17.00. Advance reservations are not necessary.

The nearest ice skating rings (indoor and outdoor) is in Kittilä (about 20km from Levi centre).

The outdoor ice skating ring is open daily 9.00-21.00. The indoor ice skating rink is open to the public Mondays-Fridays 15.00-16.30, Saturdays 12.00-15.00 and Sundays 12.00-15.00 (when there are no sport matches).
