The snow slowly begins to drape over the fell, and the frost starts turning cheeks rosy red. Watching the evening get darker from the comfort of the couch by the fireplace is simply wonderful. Or, you can spend the evening out in nature looking for the Northern Lights if you prefer. Early winter season in Levi is all about relaxed togetherness, the joy of outdoor activities, the enchanting scenery and a wide range of events for 60 years now.
In Levi, you can go skiing or do cross-country skiing starting from October thanks to snow that was stored at the end of the last season in May. Fresh snow also arrives in Levi in November at the latest. Sometimes the first snow comes in early October, and by November the ground is covered in almost half a metre of snow. This year the first snow arrived already in September. That’s the magic of early winter! You never know just how much snow there is going to be the next morning, or how the weather has painted a frosty painting on the windows during the night. And with a bit of good luck, you will witness some green or purple on the sky as nature puts on its most spectacular light show, the Northern Lights.
COME AND EXPERIENCE WHAT LEVI HAS TO OFFER
Late autumn to early winter is a beautiful time to visit Levi. This is one of the best times to see the northern lights in Levi, so remember to check the sky on cloudless evenings and nights to catch the breathtaking dance of the Aurora Borealis! During the day, you can enjoy skiing and cross-country skiing on the first slope and tracks from the beginning of October onwards, with more tracks and slopes opened when there is enough new snow. Once the snow covers the fells and forests, you can go snowshoeing in the wilderness or even go horseback riding or a husky ride as soon as there’s enough snow for it. Peaceful nature and recreational opportunities that can be found are endless!
In the event of stormy weather, you can enjoy some indoor activities such as the gym, group exercises, yoga, and relaxing at the spa. Alternatively, you can go bowling or play glow-in-the-dark mini golf, both of which are located in the village center. You can go see a movie at the cinema and explore some cultural activities by visiting art exhibitions and museums. Treat your body and mind to a massage, cosmetology services, and relaxations programmes in Levi right in the vicinity of nature. It is easy to take care of your overall well-being during your holiday in Levi!
