MTB-ENduro - what it is all about?
MTB, or mountain bike Enduro is a highly versatile sport that combines the best of fast downhill and quieter "traditional" off-road cycling. In Enduro, high-speed, downhill special tests and elevator-assisted or more relaxed transitions between special tests take their turns. Special tests calculate total timings and fastest wins.
The hobby can be begun with a standard mountain bike, helmet and protective gear and, above all, with the desire to bike. The flexible division of classes makes it easy to become immersed in this sport. Both women and men enjoy it. Children and newcomers compete on shorter tracks than the experienced adults. Easily understandable low entry threshold races are addictive!
Levi Midnight enduro 2020
Performances against timekeepers and other bikers on the main routes of the Finnish Championship series in the magnificent landscapes of Levi and Kätkätätunturi and in the good company of like-minded people create a framework for an unforgettable competition. Levi Enduro routes are known to have peat moss, tussock terrain and rocks, as well as the challenging DH sections of Levi Bike Park. Fast and slippery sloping on the Front slope – and much more!

PRELIMINARY TIMETABLE AND ROUTE
The race stages will be published on Thursday at 10 a.m., after which there will be a tour of the routes and free practice for the actual competition. The actual Enduro competition starts Friday night and continues throughout Saturday. Initially, there will be two stages on Friday and eight to ten stages on Saturday (some of them twice during the race).
It's a very challenging race. Transitions occur both on your own and on the gondola lift, depending on the stages. The Levi race differs from the other races in the Finnish Championship series, in particular in terms of hill size, which allows for much longer and faster special tests than the other races. Most stages have altitude differences of between 200 and 300 meters. During the race, climbing between 500 and 800 altitudes will depend on your own efforts, and in stagess, more than 2000 altitudes will be descended. The fastest bikers spend over 30 minutes in the stages.
The final race itinerary and map will be published on Wednesday night, July 22nd. All training on routes marked or under construction will be prohibited during the week before Thursday 23 July at 10:00.
