
Kittilä climate day
As part of the Climate Weeks, Kittilä Climate Day will be organised, offering low-threshold information, experiential activities and practical tips for everyday sustainability.

Climate information and activities: explore Kittilä’s climate plan and play the Sustainable Everyday Bingo – by participating you can enter a draw for movie tickets.
Come and learn about Commu, the neighbourhood help app. We will explain how Commu works, what it can be used for, and help you get started.
Presentation of activities by Kittilä 4H Association, with a focus on nature and forests.
(Programme will be updated) Kittilä Market Square (10:00–14:00)
Hobbyhorse workshop: Organised by Kittilä Parish. You can make your own hobbyhorse from recycled materials. During the day, Sofia Lantto will give demonstrations in show jumping and dressage. There will also be fun, light‑hearted show‑jumping competitions.
Bicycle maintenance point: At the ILIMA project stand you can learn basic bike maintenance and get your bike ready for summer with guidance
Car boot sale: Come find treasures or sell your own items. Sellers must register in advance via Narikka Village Association: https://forms.gle/5KZcW1UahwnRoaQB6
Sausage stand: Narikka Village Association will sell sausages and juice at the event.
The market square programme will take place weather permitting – any changes will be announced if necessary.
Vihreä Ahma (10:00–16:00) Vihreä Ahma will be exceptionally open on Saturday 23 May 2026 from 10:00 to 16:00.
Pop‑up donation van in the Vihreä Ahma yard (10:00–14:00) – bring your donations to the shop!

Changes possible. Each participating organiser is responsible for their own part of the event. Climate Day is organised as part of the Kestävämpi Kittilä (More Sustainable Kittilä) project, funded by the EU’s rural development programme through the Lapland Economic Development centre.
