Open House Day of the Municipality of Kittilä, the Kittilä Mine, and Tourism

The Municipality of Kittilä, Kittilä Mine, Visit Levi, and Levi Ski Resort are organizing a joint Open House Day on Saturday, August 17th, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Kittilä Sports Hall (Havutie 6).During the day, the event organizers will present their activities and plans. In addition to informative presentations, we offer interesting sights and activities for the whole family.Visitors will have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss various topics during the scheduled presentations. A complimentary soup lunch and coffee with pastries will be provided. The event is free and open to everyone. We warmly welcome you to join us!

At the event, you can explore the services and upcoming events of the Municipality of Kittilä. You can engage with staff from various departments, including the municipality's wellness and leisure services. Topics covered will include health promotion, sports, culture and youth services, the family center, library, and our adult education center Revontuli-Opisto. There will be Kittilä products and a visitor survey available.
At the Kideve Economic Development Services booth, you can learn about the free business directory service and how to start a business.

Levi Ski Resort will showcase the progress of the Levi Six chairlift construction project, its advanced seven-month snow guarantee, and offerings for the summer and winter seasons. There will also be electric bikes to try out on a skill track and a trampoline from Levi's trampoline park.
Visit Levi will share the latest news in tourism and insights into the upcoming winter season at their booth. K-Supermarket Kittilä will provide ice cream for the fastest visitors.

In addition to the Kittilä Mine booths and Agnico Eagle Finland’s regional exploration exhibitions, you can see the mine’s new underground dump truck, which will arrive directly from the factory, and the mine’s new clearing vehicle. The rescue service and emergency medical service will also bring equipment for visitors to explore. You can try out a loading machine simulator, explore the mining world through VR glasses, and practice gold panning with the exploration team.

The event is free and open to everyone, with a complimentary soup lunch and coffee with pastries provided.
