Winemaker‘s Dinner, Weingut Kirsten – Liebieg
Welcome to an intimate Winemaker’s Dinner on March 25th and 26th from 7:00 PM, hosted in the Wine Gallery of King Crab House. The evening brings together outstanding wines from the Mosel, stories from the winemaker, and an Arctic dinner carefully tailored to the wines, in collaboration with wine importer Delicatus.
Our guest of honor is Bernhard Kirsten, winemaker at Weingut Kirsten-Liebieg in the Mosel region. Bernhard works together with his wife, Inge von Geldern, and their shared philosophy is built on quality, origin, and deep respect for nature. Their wines are born on the steep slate slopes characteristic of Mosel, where vineyard-driven thinking, craftsmanship, and sustainable, responsible viticulture are at the heart of everything they do. Their long-term dedication has been recognized both within the Mosel region and internationally. Most recently, Weingut Kirsten-Liebieg was awarded “Winery of the Year 2025”, an honor that reflects uncompromising quality and a strong expression of terroir.
During the evening, we will explore Bernhard’s interpretations of Riesling, as well as Pinot Noir, Weissburgunder, and Grauburgunder included in the wine pairing. The pure and elegant wines are carefully matched with a five-course menu designed by our head chef, highlighting Northern ingredients and the restaurant’s iconic king crab. Throughout the evening, Bernhard will share stories about the wines, the vineyards, and the Mosel in a relaxed and personal way, creating a thoughtful and memorable experience.
