Summer Ticket Made the Rissanens’ Day
A fun-filled fell day, Rissanen-style – the Summer Ticket made it all possible.

Aurora, 10, was the queen of speed. Once the harness clipped on at the Adventure Park, she soared through the high ropes like a pro. Her father Mikko did his best to keep up, but often had to settle for a follower’s role. The Adventure Park quickly became the family’s favorite – even mum Virpi agreed it was the highlight of the day.
After the thrills, it was time for ice cream at the Summer kiosk. A sweet break before heading to the summer sled track, where Aurora prefers to ride in tandem – at full speed. “I go as fast as I can and only brake in the corners,” she grins.
The family’s competitive spirit was put to the test at mini golf, where dad Mikko takes the win.
“Mikko’s played real golf, so he has a bit of an advantage,” laughs Virpi – though she admits that Aurora is actually the most competitive.
Next stop: the Gondoli2000 lift, included in the Summer Ticket's unlimited use. At the top, the family paused to admire the view and look for the peaks of Pallas and Ylläs. “It’s kind of a tradition for us – spotting the familiar fells together,” Virpi shares.
The family also checked out the Bike Park. Mikko, who has ridden the blue trails before, enjoys the ones that blend flow and ease. “I don’t do jumps, but I love that feeling when you have to focus. Your mind clears completely – you’re just following the trail, looking ahead.”
Virpi sums up why the Summer Ticket worked so well for their family:
“The day was full of activity, but still relaxed. If we had to buy everything separately, we might have hesitated. This way, it was easy to try lots of different things.”
