Two Finnish Outdoor Brands Join Forces at Levi – Levi Ski Resort and Halti Launch a Multi-Year Partnership
Levi Ski Resort and Halti have entered into a multi-year partnership, under which Levi Ski Resort will serve as a testing and reference centre for Halti. In addition, Halti will act as the official clothing supplier of Levi Ski Resort. The partnership covers approximately 300 employees working in slope and customer service roles.
Levi’s staff work on the fell year-round in rapidly changing Arctic weather conditions. Their clothing must provide protection, functionality, and comfort across a wide range of duties and working environments.
"It is great to see a ski resort offering Olympic-level conditions and one of Finland’s most recognized outdoor apparel brands joining forces. For us, it was important to find a partner whose values, commitment to quality, and view of outdoor life align with our own. Our goal is to build a comprehensive clothing solution that meets the demands of different roles and can be adapted to the needs of our staff," says Jouni Palosaari, CEO of Levi Ski Resort.
The partnership also provides valuable real-world insight for Halti’s product development. Levi offers an environment where products are used daily in a variety of demanding roles and conditions. Feedback from staff will help evaluate product performance, fit, comfort, and functionality in northern conditions.
"Levi plays an important role in Halti’s international growth. From an international perspective, the nature of Lapland and Levi’s position as one of the leading outdoor destinations in the North make it one of Finland’s most attractive places to visit. For us, Levi also represents the northern operating environment at its very best. On the fell, wind, moisture, and rapidly changing temperatures throughout the year place high demands on equipment and apparel. At Levi, the performance of our products is tested as part of the staff’s daily work, and their experiences provide us with valuable insights for product development," says Aki Kuusilehto, CEO of Halti Oy.
The partnership will also be visible to Levi Ski Resort’s guests. Halti products will be given greater prominence in Levi’s own retail outlets, including the Zero Point Brand Store and South Point Levi Shop, allowing visitors to explore Halti’s collection and purchase products directly at the resort.
In addition to staff apparel, the partnership includes a range of commercial collaboration initiatives. The aim is to showcase Finnish outdoor expertise in Levi and make it visible to both domestic and international guests.
