World Cup Levi fact sheet


General information to audience regarding World Cup Levi 2017 Event


The event tickets cost 20 € / day and for kids 7 - 12 years 5 € / day. Two day admission costs 30 € and for kids 8 €. Kids under 7 years are free to enter with adults.

The tickets can be purchased through Levi web site. During the race week the tickets are for sale in Ski Resort Levi, Levi Tourist Office and hotels in the area. Naturally you can buy the tickets from the gate on the race days! Lift ticket can not be used as a ticket to the event. The public draw doesn't require admission.

Levi Black event area

For the audience there are reserved stands directly next to the Finish line on the bottom of the race hill on the right hand side. The audience can also hike up to the side of the steep part in order to feel the speed. Two jumbo screens place both sides of the hill keep the audience on edge.

TOKKA VIP guests - there is a special stand below the finish area. Special accreditation is needed in order to enter this stand.

On the right side of the finish area there is a roomy tent for family fun. In between the stands and the gondola building there is a so called Lapland Avenue, where entrepreneurs from Levi and Lapland represent their services. The after ski bar is located in this area.

Public toilets are available in different locations on the venue and there is also a separate toilet tent. Toilet for disabled is in the ground floor of the gondola building. Also the first aid facilities are in the group floor of the gondola building. There is a rescue plan available if needed.

Kids and families

For Levi World Cup it is important that also kids enjoy the event.

Baby room is available on the ground floor of the gondola building.

We have organised special activities for kids and their families on the right side of the finish area. In this location there is also a family tent, where cafe and baby room area available. There are also toilets available in this location.

The youngest of guests have their own stand next to the tent on the finish area. The tent offers entertainment for kids and their parents. There are special activities both inside the tent and outside, even a reindeer to take the young ones for a sleigh ride or to pet. The tent is also a perfect spot for a small break and snack.


Audience arrives to the race area from the right hand side beside the gondola building. There is a ticket sales available upon arrival. Rights to changes reserved.

Forbidden items and pets

Following items are forbidden at the event arena:

  • Alcohol or other drugs
  • Weapons and firearms
  • Explosives, rockets or other flammable / explosive materials
  • Pets
  • Remote-controlled drones

Traffic arrangements

Levi World Cup causes some special traffic arrangements during the race weekend. In the Levi Black area this means restricted speed limitations and parking restrictions.

Traffic in Levi center is restricted on Friday 11.11. and on Saturday 12.11. from 17.30 to 20.30. On those occasions the road Hissitie infron of the front slope is closed from public traffic.

The traffic will be busy during the event weekend, so it is good to be on time!


There is a parking place reserved for the public at the Levi Black -race area, parking costs 10 € / car. The entrance to the parking is from the main road in between St1 and the normal main entrance to the Gondola. Signs will lead the way!

Levi Black parking area is limited and once full we will kindly request to use parking in the Levi center. From Levi center there is a free shuttle service to Levi Black race area.

For teams, media and organisation there is separate parking in Levi Black area. Entry only with accreditation from the main intersection. The shuttles for public and taxis will use the main intersection.

The parking areas are clearly marked with signs and if needed also fenced. There are special staff members guiding the traffic and parking.

For the side events in Levi center there are no organised event parking available, however, all public parking is available.

Public transport

There is a free non-stop shuttle service for the race audience from Levi center to Levi Black race area and back. Schedule as follows:

  • SAT 11.11. from 09.30 to 16.00
  • SUN 12.11. from 09.30 to 16.00

Public shuttles leave from hotel Levi Spa directly to race area. For the side events in the Levi center there are no transfers form race area.

Other transfers

Ski bus circles on route 1 (R1) = Zero Point - Rakkavaara - Koillisrinne - Zero Point 11. - 12.11. from 09.00 to 16.00 every half hour. Between 16.00 – 19.30 ski bus circles on its' normal route and schedule.

Taxis are notified to leave and pick up their customers from the same location with Levi Black public shuttle stop.

World cup extra bus transfer between Rovaniemi Airport and Levi

There will be an extra bus transfer between Rovaniemi Airport and Levi. The transfers will be operated with either a 22 or 52 seat charter-bus, depending on ticket sales. To secure your seat, book your ticket in advance from Levi Tourist Information -> . If there are free seats left, you may also buy your ticket from the bus (Finnish credit cards and VISA/Mastercard and cash valid).

Price: 50€ (inc. vat. 10%), minimum number of passengers: 10 passengers.
