Arctic Sauna World

The sauna area includes several different saunas, each with its own atmosphere and style of heat, as well as the opportunity for refreshing cold-water swimming. Between sauna sessions, guests can relax in the lounge and enjoy views of lake Jerisjärvi and the surrounding fells through large windows.

We recommend booking tickets in advance online to secure your preferred visiting time. Each ticket is valid for two hours, and arriving on time is recommended to enjoy the saunas at a relaxed pace. The saunas are shared, and wearing a swimsuit is required for all guests. Separate changing rooms are available for men and women.

Arctic Sauna World is part of Harriniva Hotels and Safaris’ Jeris Lakeside Resort. The location is on the shore of lake Jerisjärvi, next to Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park, approximately a 40-minute drive from Levi towards Muonio. Lake Jerisjärvi is known for its clean environment and long history as part of the region’s cultural landscape. The lake provides an exceptional setting for sauna experiences throughout the year.

The saunas draw inspiration from Finnish folklore and the surrounding nature. At the heart of the experience is the interaction between heat, water, and the natural environment, giving each sauna it's unique character and steam. Going to the sauna is known to relax and calm, and it also has a positive impact on both mental and physical recovery.

Cooling off in the lake is possible year-round. In summer, the lake can be accessed directly from the sandy beach or via gently sloping steps. In winter, access to a large ice swimming hole is provided by the steps.
