Arctic Verge currently offers small, flexible aurora hunting tours by car. We keep the groups very small so we can move quickly and choose the best possible viewing spots based on real-time weather and aurora forecasts.
We monitor cloud movement, wind patterns, and conditions throughout the evening. Once the sky opens, we drive to clear areas away from village light pollution. Every tour is different because we adjust the route to give guests the highest chance of seeing the Northern lights.
Arctic Verge is a local company with solid experience in Finnish tourism and local tourism in Lapland. We have worked in the region since 2019 and founded our own company in 2025. Our aurora hunting tours by car are small, flexible, and designed to give guests the highest possible chance of seeing the Northern Lights.
We keep our groups very small so we can move quickly and adjust our route throughout the evening. This flexibility allows us to respond to changing weather and to choose the best viewing spots based on real time information. Every night in Lapland is different, so every tour becomes a unique chase.
Before and during the tour we monitor cloud movement, wind patterns, satellite images, and short term aurora forecasts. Conditions can shift suddenly in the Arctic, so we are always ready to drive toward the clearest skies. Once we find an opening in the clouds, we head to a dark area far away from village lights to give our guests the best possible viewing conditions.
Sometimes we travel only a short distance. Other times we may need to go deeper into the surrounding nature to find clear skies. The goal remains the same on every tour. We want to bring our guests to a quiet place with an open sky and no light pollution, where the aurora has the best chance to appear.
If the forecast is, in our opinion, too cloudy and we believe we cannot reach open skies within the time of the safari, we cancel the experience. In this case guests will receive a full refund.
We cannot guarantee the Northern Lights or clear skies. Nature cannot be controlled. What we can guarantee is that we use every possibility, every tool, and all our local knowledge to make the chance as high as possible.
