Levi Institute - Department of Tourism
Levi Institute is a special school for tourism giving students special education for different tasks within tourism, hotel and restaurant industries.
Schooling is given in cooperation with firms and companies of Levi ski resort area. Knowledge-based skills are emphasized in the education, but skills acquired during on-the-job learning periods help students to learn better and after accomplishing vocational qualification get more easily employed at holiday resorts - or get a place for further studies e.g. in a polytechnic or in a university.
Levi Institute calls special attention to Lapland, pure Lappish nature and food produced here as well as Lappish culture.
