Särestöniemi museum in Kaukonen, Kittilä, displays the art and working environment of the artist Reidar Särestöniemi. Changing art exhibitions, open round-the-year.
The Särestöniemi museum area consist of several buildings. The Särestöniemi farm from th 19th century represents the traditional way of building in the north of Finland, whereas the gallery and the studio, both designed by acclaimed Finnish architects Raili and Reima Pietilä, join the tradition of modern Finnish architecture.

Särestöniemi Museum reserves the right to change entrance fees.
How to arrive from Levi: 35 km to the south by the main road 79, then in the Kaukonen village after the bridge follow the Särestöniemi sign and turn left, then 9 km to the museum.
