Experience an unforgettable day with Louis Theroux in Levi: The Aurora Future Event offers inspiring discussions on education and equality.
Acclaimed documentary film-maker, director, journalist, producer, and author Louis Theroux will be arriving at Levi fell as the keynote speaker for the Aurora Future Event on November 17th. This year's event, which is being held for the third time, focuses on the themes of civilization and equality, promising intellectual sparks and thought-provoking conversations.
Louis Theroux, originally from Great Britain, captivates audiences with his self-produced documentary films, uncovering profound stories and provoking thoughts. At the Levi Summit Conference Center, he will take the audience to the heart of the civilization conversation alongside Yle Perjantai journalist Sean Ricks.
"We are extremely excited to have Louis Theroux coming to Finland, and specifically to Levi. This makes the event truly unique. We hope to have a large audience in attendance because this is a rare opportunity that shouldn't be missed. Louis Theroux's appearance here is a truly exceptional event," says Pilvi Mäenpuro, Event Manager at Visit Levi. Theroux's discussion session is open to the public and will be held at the Levi Summit auditorium, where are over 400 seats for audience.
In addition to the keynote speaker, the event will feature eight interesting discussion sessions that examine the significance of civilization and equality from various perspectives. Experts from different fields will share their views on the importance of civilization, the power of culture, the civilization required by the economy, as well as the impact of regionalism and roots on equality in Finland.
The audience is welcome to attend all the discussions with a day pass that covers meals, including lunch and coffee, a pop-up art program, as well as a ski lift pass from the village directly to the event venue. All discussions, including Theroux's segment, will be streamed live on Yle Areena.
"The Aurora event has evolved significantly, and we are extremely pleased with our strong collaboration with Yle. The positive feedback we have received on the content from previous years encourages us to create an even better event. This year, we are particularly excited as the themes revolve around equality and civilization. We want to offer our visitors timely and inspiring discussions in a stunning environment that stimulate thoughts and promote understanding of these important topics," says Pilvi Mäenpuro.
Later in the early autumn, all the amazing speakers and detailed content of the event will be announced. Aurora - the future event in the fell is a unique collaboration project in which Yle is responsible for producing current content, and Visit Levi creates a memorable event experience.
