Finland's first gondola lift, Gondola2000, was inaugurated on 31.12.1999, marking a new era for Levi Ski Resort with expansions in winter and summer activities. The ISO 14001 certification in 2018 and the geothermal project completion in 2024 moved the resort towards sustainability. These developments have transformed Levi into a year-round destination with energy-efficient infrastructure for visitors and competitors.

Levi Ski Resort has been using geothermal energy and surplus heat to warm indoor spaces for a long time now. The resort uses surplus heat generated by snow gun compressors to warm indoor places.

Levi Ski Resort continues its intensive investment program. This summer's total investments will amount to €15 million. The major projects include the Levi Six chairlift on the Northeast Slopes, new modern LED lighting for the G.2 slope, the transition of the Gondola Restaurant to geothermal heating, and a new slope restaurant being built at Levi West Point.

In Levi, the village-wide cleanup event will take place on May 29th-30th, 2024. As the snow melts, the litter is once again revealed, and it's time to tidy up the village of 900 residents. Residents, entrepreneurs, and tourists alike are invited to participate.

The Levi Ski Resort is a unique place within a distinctive service hub. Here, one can find snow-covered trees, stunning panoramic views stretching to the horizon, and slopes and trails catering to enthusiasts of various sports throughout the year. However, everything is done out of love for the sport and the fell. The fell and its services are developed with great passion, while respecting and cherishing the delicate Arctic nature.

When the lifts close in the evening, the nighttime operation of slope machines begins. Six slope machines depart from Levi South Slopes Service Point. During the evening and night, two PistenBully 400 machines maintain the South Slopes' parking areas. Other slopes are maintained by PistenBully 600 machines, as well as Finland's first hybrid slope machine, the PistenBully 600E+, which enables approximately 20% lower fuel consumption.
