Celebrating successful people and businesses of Levi at Kipinäpäivät award ceremony

An award ceremony was organized at Restaurant Kekäle on Friday, October 7, 2022, to celebrate companies, individuals and events in the Levi area for their contribution to the growth of the area, the development of year-round and sustainable tourism, and for upholding the spirit of Levi.

At the event, awards in a total of 11 categories were given to companies and individuals based on a vote. Levin Alppitalot was chosen as the accommodation provider of the year. The business has been successfully transferred to the hands of the next generation, as sisters Sofia and Juulia Siikarla have begun to run the company with strong female energy.

The restaurant, cafe or catering company award of the year went to Bar Alakerta. The company found a new space that fits its concept and has continued from where it left off before. Bar Alakerta strongly does its own thing, for its own target group.

Ounaskievari reindeer farm was given the award for the year's activity program service provider. The company maintains the region's cultural traditions and is always ready to help other entrepreneurs and Visit Levi's event team. They have also developed new experiences listening to the wishes of tour operators.

The year's responsibility award was given to Levi Ski Resort, which has done long-term and systematic work to reduce its carbon footprint. A responsibility manager has also recently been appointed to the company.

As for the Sparks of Levi award, there were two winners this year. Reindeer farm Sammun Tupa got the award for its 40 years of offering unforgettable experiences to its guests. The second Sparks of Levi award was given to Visit Levi's Maija Palosaari for her 20 years of unyielding work for Levi.
