The Levi tourist area donated 26 000 € to SPR's disaster fund

Companies in the Levi Tourist Area donated 26 000 € to the Finnish Red Cross's emergency relief fund to help those affected by the crisis in Ukraine. In addition to the donation for SPR, other companies in the Levi region have helped people and animals affected by the crisis in Ukraine in many different ways.

The aim was to collect 25 000 € to the Finnish Red Cross's amount, which corresponds to 25,000 beds in the area. The final donation amount is 26 000€. Participating in SPR's donation were Visit Levi, Levilehto Apartments, Oy Levi Restaurants Ltd, Immelmökit Oy, Hullu Poro Oy, Northern Lights Village Levi, Levin Alppitalot Oy, Levin Iglut, Levi Hotel Spa, Elan Ski
Shop & Rental Levi, Levikaira Apartments, Levi Ski Resort, Polar Star Travel, Levi Suites Oy, Perhesafarit Oy, Bar Ihku & Old Mates, Kinos Safaris / Kinos Motors, Subway Levi and Discover Lapland.

In addition to the joint SPR donation, companies in the region have donated and supported people and animals affected by the crisis in Ukraine in a variety of ways. Donations have been made, for example, to the Otoz Animals animal welfare organization, through Unicef, through the SPR's box collections, and direct donations to the SPR's disaster fund. These have included Tokka Safaris Oy, Levi Art Shop, HaliPuu & Campfire Barista, Kassiopeia Hotels & Restaurants and All Huskies Oy.

Concrete help was provided by Laura Peippo from Levi together with Anni Vuohijoki when they brought a bus with Ukrainians to Finland. In addition to its donation, Levi Ski Resort showed its support for Ukraine in the form of colored lights in South Point Park.
