Lifts for children
Levi is a safe place for children to try out winter sports. We offer 9 special lifts for children, of which part of is totally free. The bigger lifts are free for children under 6 years who wear a helmet and are accompanied by a skiing adult. With the parent one-day ski lift pass, the parents of small children may take turns skiing and looking after the children. The pleasant slopes of Utsuvaara, Sammu and South Point (South Slopes) are especially popular among families.
Our special lifts for children:
- Front Slopes covered magic carpet lift at the lower station of lift nr 2
- Front Slopes pome lift at the upper station of Express cabin lift (requires a ski pass)

We highly recommend that you always wear a helmet at slopes! Children under 6 years wearing helmets ski free when accompanied with a skiing adult.
New playground for kids is Leevilandia at the South Slopes, next to the South Point building. Leevilandia has a covered carpet lift and a traditional pome lift. Also a fire place for grilling sausages is available. Free weekly activity program is offered daily. Muksutupa is the indoor day care place for smaller children.
What would a holiday be without Kids' Land? At Kids' Land by the Front Slopes, the smallest visitors get our full attention. Kids' Land has two pome lifts and easy slopes, which make it easy to get started with skiing. The staff also lends stiga racers and toboggans to the area's sledding hill for the children to use. In case you get cold, have a break in the Lappish “kota” teepee in Kids Land. If you like, you can bring sausages to grill over the fire in the atmospheric hut.

Where to eat
Food is an important part of an active day in the outdoors and for having a great time together with the family. Just pop into one of Levi's slopeside restaurants when it is time for lunch or some snacks.
Levi is an easy resort to spend a winter holiday with children. And the easiest way to reach the slopes is by using Ski Buses. Buses transfer in November-April between the main lifts and the major accommodation areas. There are two routes which connect at the very centre next to the Zero Point building at the Front Slopes. You may use buses even for spa and shopping trips.
