Cool novelties of the winter season 2022-2023
The biggest novelty of the winter season 22-23 delights skiers of many levels, as the new Glacier Express chairlift carries skiers to the top of the Front Slopes. From here you can descend back towards the village on the renewed, wide slopes of ICE.1 & ICE.2. Thanks to the renewed slope profile, you get to carve and enjoy long turns. The carpet lift on the Front Slope has also got a new place at the bottom of the slope and now serves even better the smallest of the family and beginner skiers.
During the summer, a new slope 7B.3, which goes by the name Sammun metsäreitti, has been built on the Southeast Slopes, next to the 7B lift. The slope was made especially along the forest skiing routes which are popular among children and young people, and it offers adventurous but safe skiing in the forest. Along the way, you might even spot reindeers, squirrels or rabbits.
The popular Levi South Park, which is almost a kilometer long, has received an amazing renovation for the winter of 22-23, as a mini pipe has been made in the lower part of the South Park. During the same run, you can now combine boxes, rails, and even a pipe. Junior South Park has also been renewed and offers even more versatile skiing for beginners as well as slightly more experienced skiers. In addition to South Park and Junior South Park, next to the South Slope's pome lift, there is a Mini Park, which is specially designed for the smallest park riders in the family. Also, near the Front Slopes North chairlift, you can find the Fun Park. Try your skills on the ski cross track and small jumps, after which you can continue to the moguls which are located at the bottom of the Fun Park. The moguls were designed by the Finnish mogul legend, Lauri Lassila.
